Sports Injury

Recover. Rebuild. Return.

Sports and physical activity are an important part of a healthy life. But whether you are a professional athlete, a weekend runner, a football player, or simply someone who enjoys staying active, an injury can suddenly take you away from the activities you love.

Sports injuries require more than simply treating pain. The aim is to understand the injury, restore function and help you return to your activity safely and confidently.

As a Knee, Sports & Joints Surgeon, I provide comprehensive care for sports-related injuries, with particular expertise in injuries of the knee and other major joints.

My approach to sports injuries

Accurate diagnosis
A proper diagnosis is the foundation of good treatment. Clinical examination, functional assessment and appropriate imaging help determine the nature and extent of an injury.

Early and appropriate treatment
Not every sports injury needs surgery. Many injuries can be successfully managed with rest, activity modification, physiotherapy, exercise, medication or other non-operative treatments.

Repair and preservation whenever possible
When an injury involves structures such as the meniscus, cartilage or ligaments, the objective is to preserve and repair the natural tissues whenever this is possible and appropriate.

Modern sports surgery
When surgery is necessary, contemporary techniques—including arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures—may help restore stability and function while facilitating rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation and return to sport
Treatment does not end when the pain disappears or surgery is completed. Strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and sport-specific function all need to be restored. A structured rehabilitation program helps reduce the risk of re-injury and prepares you for a safe return to sport.

For athletes of every level

You don't have to be a professional athlete to deserve professional sports injury care.

Whether your goal is to return to competitive sport, get back to running, continue exercising, or simply walk and move without fear, treatment should be tailored to your body, your activity and your goals.

My philosophy

Recover. Rebuild. Return.

An injury may temporarily stop your activity, but it does not have to define your future.

My goal is to help you understand your injury, choose the appropriate treatment, restore your function and return to the activities that make you feel alive.
